The Vatican announced that Pope Francis passed away on Easter Monday. Cause of death was a stroke & irreversible heart failure, confirmed by the Vatican doctor.
And Trisha Paytas is currently pregnant with her 3rd child. If we had a nickel for every time a major world figure dies and Trisha Patyas is pregnant… we’d already have TWO. NICKELS. Queen Elizabeth II could’ve been reincarnated as Malibu Paytas. And the Pope might be next.
Also the real-life conclave has been in session since the current Pope’s passing. Like the movie, all the eligible cardinals will meet in the Vatican city and vote for the next Pope.
Pope Francis was the 1st pope from the Global South. He championed issues of many marginalized communities. He spoke in support of LGBTQ Catholics citing homophobia as a hypocrisy. And he was pro-Palestine until his final days, giving speeches asking for a ceasefire in Gaza. And he called a Christian church in Gaza every day.
I wonder if the next Pope will advocate for marginalized like the late Pope or if they would lean more traditional?
I’m not Catholic so this opinion isn’t valid: the world needs a figure like Pope Francis. And it hurts to see him leave so soon.
